Peak period Jason Molina, exorcising his demons through typical images of moons, winged apparitions, sickles and blackness over 18 skeletal minutes. There's a ghostly echo of the vocals at the 7 minute mark, as if Molina is singing a duet with one of his lost souls, trapped somewhere out in the wilderness.

This EP — well, track — feels like more of an impromptu outpouring than any of the S:O albums. which do seem like considered whole entities. Except for Protection Spells, probably my favourite, which is a collection of songs from various sessions, recorded on the road, I think. That one is much more sketch-like, and very reminiscent of the Dirty Three in parts.

Does that mean it's gone then? Can someone re-up? Thanks!

Picking this! Do you thin is better than the MAGNIFICENT "Ghost Tropic"?
